Emily-Rose Lewis is a prophetic speaker, author, and visionary with over 19 years of service in the Kingdom of God. She founded Emily-Rose Lewis Ministries in 2016 to bring healing and restoration to the body of Christ through teaching, coaching and prophesying. In 2019 Emily-Rose and her husband Dave launched Kingdom Living Ekklesia & Academy in Herndon, VA.

Emily-Rose is the author of Blooming Where You’re Planted: 52 Prophetic Words for Being Fruitful In and Out of Season and Fasting From Glory to Glory. She has studied dreams, visions, and the supernatural, developing deep revelatory understanding into the ways the Lord desires to bring healing, guidance, and prophetic insight into peoples’ lives and futures.

Having walked through the process of healing from trauma and brokenness herself, she is a gracious, grounded instructor and has helped countless people achieve a more intimate connection with Holy Spirit and an understanding of how to cause their hearts desires to manifest in the natural realm.

The outreach branch of Emily-Rose Lewis Ministries, Desert Rose In Bloom, was established to help women and children facing homelessness, prostitution, poverty and drug addiction.

Through generous donations Desert Rose In Bloom also provides books and care packages to reach out to hurting people with the love of Christ, and car maintenance vouchers to local single parents in the Herndon, VA area. Emily-Rose works one on one and in group settings with this population and is partnered with organizations that support a similar mission.

Emily-Rose walks in the miracle working power of God and has seen countless miracles of healing in both body and soul. Her prophetic writings are featured regularly on Elijah’s List and Spiritfuel. She imparts the heart of God with messages of faith, hope, and love, equipping people with powerful weapons to rise above adversity and apply the victory of the cross to their everyday lives.

    In the Word of God you may find lots of answers and together with your prayers (to the right person, i.e. to God) you shall receive guidance and many answers.

    It is nice to hear you are “still pressing in and fighting the good fight of faith”, because that is something each Christian should continue to do.

    Once we found Jesus and his heavenly Father it is no end solution for having a problem life in this world. Lots of bad things can happen to us even when we are ‘reborn’. But it is how we can cope with it that it very important. And if we give ourselves in the hands of God we shall be surprised how He may carry us through this world.

    Lovely also to hear your son has become a ballet dancer. In that world he shall encounter many people who are busy with the spiritual. We do hope it is still such a world of ‘spiritual people’ as it was some years ago, when many openly talked about their relationship with God.

    We express also our sincerely hope that you and him may find the One and Only True God of gods, the heavenly Father of Jesus Christ (who is the son of God and not God himself), the God of Israel, and may enjoy the blessings of the gifts he gives to you and him.

  13. Thanks so much! That really is a big help and actually makes a lot of sense. I’m 63 now and have had too carry a lot of responsibility in my life both bringing up my children alone part of the time and playing a substantial role for the Lord sometimes. It has been a strain and since my last birdie flew the nest I’ve stepped down from most of my responsibilities as I felt my walk with Jesus was suffering (although Jesus never asks too much of us sometimes people do and become reliant on you.)
    It’s long been my wish to return to my simple childlike faith, just me and Jesus so your interpretation is hugely encouraging. Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly and clearly. It was a bit of a step of faith to ask you but I’m so glad I did. You have a wonderful gift God bless you!

  14. After pondering dream for a minute I don’t even think its about a specific call, but more like a call to open your heart to that part of yourself with the traits I mentioned above, which it sounds like you have now done. A lot of times dream characters are different parts of ourselves.

  15. I believe it is about a call that God has placed on your life. Perhaps the first time you began to hear the call was when you were about the age of the girl in the dream? Or perhaps she just represents that part of yourself that has childlike faith. Maybe both? Now that she has entered, it is likely that you are finally reconnecting with that part of yourself, full of childlike faith and wonder, that enables you to follow Christ even when it makes no sense to others around you immediately where He is leading. Does this ring true?

    You said you interpret dreams? I have a reoccurring dream (often several times a week recently) of my doorbell ringing (its been over 10 years and many different places since i first had it so its not someone messing about). It can be annoying as it often wakes me thinking I need to let someone in and I have to tell myself its just a dream. I’m pretty sure there’s no one “locked out” of my life and I’ve asked Jesus many times about it but not received a long term answer.
    Recently the dream occurred as usual then my bedroom door opened (in the dream) and in walked a girl around 10 years old who looked as surprised to be there as I was to see her. She looked very ordinary and didn’t remind me of anyone I know except maybe Lucy in “Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” movie because of her expression (curiosity and wonder). If Jesus should give you any insight I’d love to hear. I really believe in hearing from God but its often harder to get things clearly when it’s for ourselves. Blessings!

  24. I also started out keeping dream journals, and volunteering at the local homeless shelter. I have also been a single mom for most of 40 years, supposedly married for 9 years, but did not see him much.

    Being a single mom is very difficult, esp as you grow older, but always remember that you are the Bride of Christ, and He is your Husband. this is your strength.

    Your son is a blessing to you which is wonderful. I pray much success, safety, blessing, and God’s provision for both of you.

  28. I don’t think most people realize just how athletic dancers have to be. My son is still so new to this, he is in the best shape of his life but has far to go yet. He is 16 now and started dancing only 2 years ago.

    We live in a very small area but the dance school is excellent. They are so shy of boys though, I think they tend to be too soft on the boys who join later. They are afraid of running them off! On the positive side, he is getting to dance some with the school’s company dancers even though he is not any where near that level yet. He is learning faster as a result, simply because they need to use the few young men they have.

    He hasn’t done a summer intensive yet as he is super involved in a local youth theater that does large summer productions. I suspect that next year he will have to decide which passion to focus on. I think that by then dance will win.

    It’s so cool to see the pictures here of your son. I showed Russ and he was super impressed. The Lord seems to be bringing inspiration into his sphere…he recently got to hang out with a young man who is on contract with Eugene Ballet Company and was greatly encouraged. (This young man also started dancing later.)

    I will pray for financial provision for your son. I am a firm believer that if this is indeed the road our Lord has for him, He will provide. What an exciting journey for you both!

  29. Yes. I am glad to hear he loves it. It’s such a challenging form of dance. Forrest is right now soaking in epson salt bath, afterwards he will scrape specific muscles with this bone and coconut oil. His dance/work out schedule are dizzying. It’s about like I would imagine Olympic athletes go through. There is always a little concern, when he has a particularly long day of classes and rehersals and looks like he may be walking with limp, that its not just aches and pains but some more serious injury. We’ve been through a broken ankle, a few sprained ankles, and back problems. A disk issue right before summer intensive last year was supernaturally healed. When we got the MRI we weren’t even surprised. We knew God would come through!

    How old is your son? Has he been away to a summer intensive yet? Summer 2013 was Forrest’s first intensive away from the company in our hometown of Chattanooga; Chataugua, NY, he was 16, almost 17. The year before,
    he was injured during audition season and couldn’t go.

    With hard work, dedication, and a talent, males have a better chance at making it in ballet then females, as I’m sure you know. There is competition, but less.

    Right now we are praying and hoping that he may be able to step back to train another year. He is a second company dancer now so its very wise and humble for him to realize he needs more training if he’s going to be his best, but most schools cut off at 18 and he turns 19 in Aug.

    He may still have hope to get into ABT in NY as they take them through 19 and have dorms. Can he get full tuition scholarship? Probably. Full dorm scholarship? That I am not sure about. Don’t know if they even offer them. 😁 He’ll need it though or we will need a financial miracle. Raising money now for the 1/2 of boarding at Ellison in NY for summer intensive hes going to that the scholarships they offered him is not covering.

    I could go on and on. This is kind of a big focus for me right now. It’s just us two and this is the last possible year that his age will allow him to train. It seems so crucial to us. He can, and already has, been able to get job with company but his potential may never be fully developed without a stronger foundation.

    There is a possible inheritance that may open up to help and Im seriously considering going after the 14 years of back child support I never pushed to collect from his absent father. (Its THAT important- leading me to consider opening any door in our life to him again)

    I had no idea ballet would become such a huge thing in our lives. It’s his passion, gift and dream.

    In a lot of ways it is Gods answer to my prayers of protection and purpose for him.

  30. My daughters have danced for several years and my son began joking around with a friend about joining too. The friend didn’t do it, but my son did and instantly fell in love with it. The funny thing is, my daughters are more into the contemporary forms of dance whereas my son is all about the ballet. Funny how life turns out, yes?

  35. Alright, you had me intrigued even before you mentioned your son’s profession or homeschooling. My son, homeschooled as well, started dancing a couple of years ago and absolutely loves it.   60. Glad you stopped in and let me know you read some of my blog Marla! I’m glad I found your blog. I enjoyed the post you recently wrote about wanting to give your husband your best love. It’s good that you realized the importance of honoring him in that way. As a woman that has raised a child without the support of a husband I am sometimes astonished how little some women appreciate the blessing of a mate. I know there are challenges to being married too though, especially if you have kids, that’s one of the reasons I have been settled with going it alone (most of the time). I love reading and listening to married women speak of their relationships and what they are learning. I am taking mental notes because I do believe that one day God will bring someone into my life. Hopefully I can learn from others mistakes and through wisdom they have gleaned.

  67. I don’t want to be in that state again. I tend to use more of more brain capacity than the average person anyway, and I am sure I would be able to see more things that I don’t want to see, but I don’t want that. I put my brain to good use, with it’s creative capacity. My brain never stops thinking, hardly ever. It’s like a running commentary all of the time. My Grandma was diagnosed with an overactive brain and that’s what I have, but it allows me to see things that others can’t see, in a creative thinking, intuitive, this is what will happen next way.

  68. Yes, I predream much of what happens in my life. It’s not the dream
    creating the future it’s just that dreams are tapping in to a realm not inhibited by time. It’s a parallel place. Dreams are seen in symbols so it makes sense that the future predicted would seem slightly different. I understand wanting to get out of the state of being consciously aware of the unseen realm. It’s a lot to take in and its not always clear what purpose it serves.

  69. Hi Emily, I have heard of people who become aware in dreams. I know when I wake up that I was only dreaming, but don’t think I have become aware in dreams and not sure I would want to. I have to be very careful as when I was younger, I used to dream and it used to come true in real life, but happen in a slightly different way, like my radar was off key. It frightened me. I didn’t like it because it blurred a sense of reality with dreaming and it was ongoing. I choose to get out of that state and I chose not to see things any more, if I can help it. I don’t want to see ghosts or dead people. I know people who can see these.

  70. I wish I could go on so little sleep! I like to get 8 hrs but rarely do. If I end up sleeping less than 7 and I feel like I am dragging through the day. I understand suffering from nightmares. I haven’t had a dream of being chased in years and years that I recall but definitely have had other disturbing dreams. Although I am able to decide a lot of my dreams sometimes I have no clue what they are about. Often, the meaning will come to me slowly. I remember my dreams, up to 6 or 7 a night so I simply don’t have time to ponder them all everyday. I plan to one day write a book on dream healing from a Christian perspective to share some of what I have learned on how to use our dreams to decipher areas of our lives and hearts that need understanding and healing. The subconscious mind is complex and then when you add the spirit realm into the mix, who could claim to be an expert? But I have discovered some interesting things about my dreams that others may relate to and benefit from. If I was to assign meaning to being chased I would first wonder if it is not about a fear that is not being faced. Once, many years ago, when I was being chased by three people or maybe it was a person with three heads, I can’t recall for certain, but I do remember facing them and demanding to know their names. Again, not completely remembering (although I have it written down somewhere) the names were something along the lines of doubt and worry. They had a poopy diaper and expected me to clean up their —-. Lol Typical! Worry and doubt always send me running as if I am in real danger but when faced for what they truly are I see all they really do is leave messes for me to clean up. Have you tried any lucid dreaming techniques? Perhaps if you could become aware in the dream you could face what is chasing you and find out what it is?

  72. Hi Emily, it’s great to learn more about you and your calling, and very brave of you to share it with us. I have suffered with nightmares since young, and would prefer not to sleep at all if I had the choice. I think sleeps a waste of time, but I have to get some. I have insomnia but it’s good to be able to stay awake to do the tons of work I have to do. I prefer working at night. I am employed and self-employed. If I sleep from 4am to midday, then I can often get good quality sleep, but can’t do that much because of my day job. I often go to bed at 2am and have to be up just after 7.30am or earlier. I have dreams of people chasing me and trying to kill me a lot. I manage to keep running and get away, but it’s not nice. I can’t run forever.

  87. Dearest Emily ~ Your testimony will help deliver many who are lost. It was beautiful in how God redeemed you from the life of destruction. I also have been given many dreams and visions throughout the years in which I journal. Many of them have come about and others God only wants me to pray for. However, what was given, it was timely and pointing to intercession when needed. I am thankful that God uses this as a way to speak to me but I also know to rely on His Word and prayer to guide me in the areas that I need to grow in and learn from.   88. Good timing on your comment. I gave my testimony publicly for the first time a couple of weeks ago to a group from our church that meets at a woman’s shelter that I just took over leading. Every week I have been sending out an email about the upcoming meeting and one of the women that was at my testimony & hasnt been back since emailed me back today and asked me to remove her from the email list. I was struggling with a little bit of rejection & very briefly, like just for one fleeting second, I though to myself that I was never sharing my testimony publicly again. I realized that it was pointless to concern myself with her reasons or allow the experience to stop me from doing what God asks me to. I hope sharing my story will inspire people but I can’t be moved whatever response I get. It helped me to think about my motives.

  96. A very inspirational story, Emily. I will be following your blog, Not too long ago, I had a falling out with the church and ended up in the New Age movement, tarot cards and all. My soon-to-be wife told me quite clearly ‘Not in this house!’ I got rid of everything but was still lost. I then found Christ because I knew that’s where I belonged. It’s been quite a journey but it’s a decision I don’t regret.

  105. Yes, it has been a difficult even with Goda great grace sustaining me and still is at times but its definitely easier than my old lifestyle. At least now my suffering is producing something if value in my life.

  108. I think it’s ballet, but I’m not sure. Thanks for the follow. Some follows seem to come from marketing efforts, but I am encouraged by those that come from people who genuinely seem to be seeking to walk with the Lord. You certainly seem to fit that category! Blessings on you.

  111. I appreciate you taking the time to write these kind and encouraging words! It is definitely time for me to start sharing more about my past with others.

    On August 6th I will be giving parts of my testimony to a group at the local woman’s shelter where I now meet weekly for a Christian small group meeting. I am excited and a little nervous.

    How right you are : God promises in Romans 8:28 to use e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g for the good, to redeem it all. Even the most tragic stuff of this life. I want to encourage you in your ministry endeavors! Your story brought tears to my eyes; and yet I celebrate how much God has changed your situation and changed you.
    Please keep writing, keep sharing. I know you feel vulnerable, but I have learned in the past almost three years of weekly blogging that it’s those heartbreaking experiences, those shameful experiences, those humbling situations that God uses the most to help others.
    In my speaking I have realized I must get real. It’s terrifying to get out in front of women and throw out my imperfections; yet that helps us strike common ground and to be encouraged that if God could use even me, then He can (and does!) do great things for anyone!
    I am so excited you took this step of faith and began your blog. I will be praying for you and excited to see what you’ll write about next!

  113. I have a friend in the Houston area whose younger son is also into dance. (And his daughter is into wrestling, and just got a college scholarship for it!)
